Lately, I’ve found myself leaving senior sessions feeling emotional in the best way.


Maybe it’s because so many of these seniors are girls I’ve watched grow up through dance, school, or years of life happening around us. Maybe it’s because senior year feels like such a strange mix of excitement, nostalgia, confidence, and uncertainty all at once. Or maybe it’s because these sessions have slowly become about so much more than “taking pictures.”


They feel like storytelling.


Every senior session this season has looked a little different. Some have felt cinematic and editorial in downtown Fort Worth. Some have been soft and glowy in open fields at sunset. Some have included dance, personality, movement, laughter, and quiet moments in between. But every single one has reflected who that senior actually is — and that’s what I love most.


I never want my senior sessions to feel overly posed or disconnected. I want them to feel personal. I want seniors to walk away feeling confident, comfortable, and genuinely seen.


One of my favorite things has been watching seniors slowly relax throughout a session. We start with nerves, awkward laughs, and “I don’t know what to do with my hands,” and somehow end up roaming downtown chasing good light, dancing in parking garages, laughing over random ideas, or finding unexpected spots that become favorite images of the night.


Those unplanned moments almost always end up becoming the magic.

Because of how much I’ve fallen in love with senior photography, I officially created my Senior Experience package for the Class of 2027.


Instead of trying to fit everything into one rushed session, the Senior Experience includes multiple sessions throughout the year so seniors can capture different sides of themselves and different seasons of life.
